GNM

Nursing

Become a competent, compassionate nurse through the GNM program clinical training in affiliated hospitals, modern simulation labs, and mentorship from experienced nursing educators.

Program Overview

The GNM program is designed to train nurses who can deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care across a range of clinical settings. The curriculum is aligned with the State Nursing Council framework and combines rigorous classroom instruction with extensive hands-on clinical practice in affiliated hospitals.

Students begin with foundational subjects anatomy, physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, nutrition, and psychology and quickly move into applied nursing disciplines including medical-surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynaecology, child health, community health, mental health, and critical care. Clinical postings are scheduled throughout the program so that theory is immediately reinforced by bedside experience.

Skill development happens in modern nursing-skill and simulation labs, where students can practise procedures safely before performing them with real patients. In addition to clinical rotations, the program emphasises communication, ethics, patient advocacy, and leadership the qualities that turn a competent practitioner into a trusted caregiver.

Diploma Graduates are prepared to register as nurses and pursue careers in hospitals, clinics, public health services, community health programs, home care, and nursing education. Many alumni go on to specialise further in areas like critical care, midwifery, paediatrics, or pursue opportunities abroad after meeting international licensing requirements.
